I AM READY TO THROW THE MACHINE OUT THE WINDOW!!!!!! The day started out good, well, so I thought, Last night finished up a row, only two left, and the bottom border, well, today still two rows to do and frog the side borders, and frog and frog...... My thread keeps breaking, doing the feathers the downs and great the ups are awful, changed needles, cleaned and oiled, changed thread,  played with the tension for hours, and no way, I am still frogging. Someone suggested it was the heat, well, I know it has cooled down, but I am hotter than ever...... I do a sample and it's great, then on the quilt disaster,  I am done for the day, maybe week-end!!!!! Hope everyone has a nice week-end.  Have fun...........................

Beautiful evening to go roller blading,  out at 8, home at midnight, we rolled about 28 miles.  During the summer we go from one port to another, and when we get to the Grau de Roi we watch the sun set, then roller blade back to where we came from for our picnic on the beach.  I always bring brownies or congo squares, so we had lots of pizza, fruit salad, quiche, and cheese, don't forget the rosé!!!  Guess we were about 30 rolling tonight. There was even a bunch of them that took a midnight dip in the sea, well it is about 27C out and the water is  nice and warm, no wind, and just ...........

Hard to see the quilting, but it is on its way to the bears......

Julia is off Gert the flirt, washed and lying flat so that tomorrow it can be trimmed and hopefully Monday I can put the biais on... Bear Paw on, boy is it big, can't go any bigger on the machine!!!!! Will take pictures tomorrow, Super hot  here, and my AC isn't doing much, it is still 28C in my sewing studio!!! Sorry I put the colors darker so that the quilting would show!!!

Monday,   Holiday in France, fire works here and Pina Colada night with pop corn!! Tuesday, out early fishing, sea is super calm, and guess what We just saw a turtle, very rare, but he or she won't come up for air!!! Then------ Wow, beautiful boat!!!!! Nice of them to stop by!!! Wow, nice black rope,  but what are they pulling?????   US!!!! Beautiful calm sea, I am as red as a lobster, don't know what happened, but this couple was so nice, so to port we go!!!!                                                                      Just enjoy the ride!!!           ...

Here is a quick dish for you guys that are busy quilting, it only takes 5 minutes to prepare and 20 to 25  minutes in the over, and so simple and good!!! One flaky pie crust ready to bake a big tablespoon of french mustard spread on the bottom of crust  (be generous) sprinkle some Herbs De Provence cut tomatoes in thin slices and spread them over the mustard and herbs put shredded Swiss cheese over all of the tomatoes, and put in the oven  at 400° for 25 minutes..... Enjoy!!!

MY  MUST DO    when changing thread!!! Make a super duper big sample piece and play for a whole day!!! YUP a whole day,  I frogged it most of the night and still!!!!! Guess I will have to take my DH tension pills!!! What a way to learn...... Good experience, but  wishing not to do it again........ Very good experience, I have learned alot with Julia, and hope to learn more, but not on tension.....PLEASE!!

Yesterday I was so busy with Julia, didn't see the day go by, but this morning when I looked at my email I saw that someone got something in the snail mail, OH, I forgot to look, DH did you check the mail???  no!!!!! To my surprise, here is what was in the box!!!!!! I will be going to class, well in my dreams, but what a nice present,  now I have the feeling that I will be in class with everyone and enjoying a great wholecloth quilt class live. This little Baltimore quilt I made for Mom for Mother's day and Birthday in 1990. Some day I will post all of the quilts that I inherited, I did share, as she said, but I would have liked to take them all.  As I was looking at them and wondering who would like what I could hear her say,  "don't be selfish"!!

                                I am going to do this, thought it looked better, What do you think???

Rebecca and Claudia are here looking over me, how nice!!  Hope their talent rubs off on me!!! Julia is on, and I am doing the sides, and inner borders DH came up to look and said, WOW that is beautiful, who's is it????? Well, mine of course!!! 

Yup, the guys went fishing this morning, and guess what I am up to ????? Singing, dancing and talking, when the cat is out the mice play, so I am playing, playing and more..... My garden dream is done, well it is now a top, some of the girls call it a flimsy, but I rather call it a top for now,  my idea of flimsy is not really that, but I am open to all kinds of suggestions, so I can always change my mind.  Somewhere I can hear my Mom saying, that dress is to flimsy, or those curtains are flimsy, meaning cheep, or not that great, so I will wait and see. Also a dog's day, nice and warm out and just a lazy day for Cali!! Well, here is my top, enjoy!!  Oh first Cali, short for California.

Here is Julia,  I finished her last year and have been waiting to quilt it, I have a idea, here it is,  I am still dreaming on it, but I could do block by block with feathers and flowers, I will see....I know someone who will be gone for the week, and she always has great design ideas.....
