Suzan's Patchwork Garden

Saw this border on MQS and thought it was great, I can't  really do it free hand so I traced it on golden paper!!!

My bowls for the boat!!  Also my little boats this is a mussel farm, and here is the boat that works there, it is a great place to go fishing, but we don't go into the zone, always outside the warning ballasts Here are the worms!!they are about a yard long!!! at port, my patchwork bag never opened!!! Jean Pierre, our neighbor, we will be going out sailing with him soon, he has a huge metal sail boat! A little messy right now, but it's the season to get everything in Ship shape!!!

Today was a beautiful day,  I planted my flowers in the garden, DH cut the grass, I started making cover buttons for my rose quilt, did the bias binding and my label, so then I started this; Pleased how it is coming, I used light gray cotton thread, and it gives a nice look!!!! Of course it is a Moda!!!

Had a great day yesterday, hubby and I had a feasting for Easter dinner, I can say that our strawberry Tarte was giant for the two of us,  he did the shopping!!!! but one thing, strawberry tarte for breakfast isn't that great!!!Didn't want it to go to waste!!!! Well, I finally had the courage to finish my roses, and they are on the frame.  I am so, so with it, I should have used brown thread, and put a plain backing, but it is done, so here is a picture!!! By the way, we had a storm this afternoon!!!Looks great.....

My list to do 1.   finish my apron 2.   finish by tulipes 3.   make Jean Pierres birthday present, long overdue!!!! 4.   finish my X blocks 5.   Start my poppy quilt 6.  Quilt at least 2 quilts!!!!   1 quilt!!! 7.  clean house 8.   plant flowers in the garden 9.  go fishing with hubby!!!!! 10.  finish rose quilt forgot, have to finish my windows also!!!  One down, nine to go.  How do you like it? OK quilted, now the bias binding, the label, and a sleeve. Had a great day!!! 

So thrilled, today my mini quilt came in from our swap group.  Here it is ,  From Karen in Ohio Hand dyed fabrics that she did.

My little quilt arrived in the USA yesterday , so now I can show you what I did. I did three background fills, an another for the border.  I put crystals by swarovski, to make it shine,  the flowers and leaves are dimensional.  Hope that it fills her dreams, always hard to make something for someone else!!!

A quiet day, but look and see what was done!!! Inca finished her windows Marie Claude made another disapearing 9 patch 10 minute block by Nicole getting it basted!!!

Today is Monday, so Monday is Juvignac, the girls are working on the X blocks, so far this is what they have done.  Now two weeks of vacation!!!Lovely This is Jeannine's, nice colors and great work for a young lady of 80!!!! This one is Reneé's, as you can see no flowers,  great job. Francoise, she is a little behind everyone, but will catch up over the vacation!! Terese, all done, just needs to add the borders, this is her first quilt with the DMS. Great job Marie Christine, hers I forgot to take a picture, but this is her last work. The mannequins are getting there, all the applique is done, now for the settings.

Had lots of fun with this, it is for Marie Claude, used channel locks, boards, and wow, great!!!

Well girls, I have your sewing machines!!! Rebecca, this is for you, the little sewing machine is a Peugeot gueridon, very few made, and it was made for young girls, it is very very expensive.  Dominique gave me the date, but forgot!!!! Next time I will try and get a really good picture

In my mailbox, what a nice surprise,  well, I knew, Rebecca told me that she was sending me some things. The first magazine I opened I found feathers!!!!!Still have to draw mine out to see if I am doing then correctly!!! Thank you Rebecca for the surprise, I have some reading and PPP to do  so all for now.

When we go out fishing, I do my fishing in my patchwork bag!!!  I do my Wednesday flower, even though it is Saturday, my flower for the week is almost done!!  I won't say that I am way behind either Look at the water and sky, what a color blue that is, and if you look good in the background, that is where we came from this morning.  Six fish in the basket at 18H.
