X BLOCKS at Juvignac Patchwork

Image
. Getting the girls to get on the machine, so today we are going to try and get started on the X block. I started mine tonight a I did get 12 blocks finished, and I am not cutting them in strips, I did squares, I just have fat quarters for two fabrics so thought that would be easier. (maybe easier but surely longer)              Will see!!!!

Creativa Montpellier today plus class With Country Patchwork

Image
Yup, the same security doggy that goes to all the quilt shows!!!! Forgot to ask him his name!!! Michele finished her apron, just in time for Easter Love the bows!!! Michele also finished her second project in class. My funny tree at the Bernina and Brother Stand at Creativa Irene at Côté Patchwork finished her mystery quilt, of course everyone knows it was a 10 minute block This morning we had a get together at Creativa in Montpellier, it is the local craft show, we all went in together, but suddenly we all got lost at  our favorite stands.  I did get some nice fabric, rulers, and a trinket to put in my LA room.  In and out of the show in two hours, off to lunch, then class.  I did make it back to the show after class and did a little more brousing and shopping!!!!

Houses done

Image
Can't really see the quilting, but in the house blocks there are cats, dogs, birds, a rooster, butterfly, flowers and even a feather wreath.  In the borders I did a panto with variegated pastel thread,  and the outer  border a panto with a vibrant variegated thread (all threads are fil-tec Cairo cotton) Did stitching in the ditch. I used the color leather, it just barely shows.  Of course Hobbs 100% cotton batting Marie Paule  was so happy, it was in her closet for over three years!!!!

Spring is here

A feeling of accomplishment

Today is a special day, I just finished my patchwork quilt.  You may say, wow, Suzan has finished another one...................but  I mean finished, I planned it, I made it, and I quilted it.  Ya, I quilted my patchwork quilt.  I can now put my signature on it,     This quilt was        Made and Machine Quilted by Suzan      March 3,  2011 What a feeling that is.  I have not had this feeling in such a long time. I had control of everything from A to Z, no waiting for a year or so to get my quilt back,  I picked the design, I picked the thread, and I quilted it.  In my eyes it is perfect. DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!!!!
