Suzan's Patchwork Garden

    Yesterday went out to do a little shopping!!  Well it was my outing for the day!! Like to get out in the city once in awhile!!!  I fell in love with this,  I wonder why!!! Doesn't it look like........ well it does QUILTING!!!!! Guess I will have to loose a few pounds but it is super, anyways I think so..... I am almost ready now for our first show in September!!!             Our first show of the season with APQS Longarm quilting machines  

OK, sometimes I do wear pants!!! Just to prove it, here I am!!!!! APPLIQUE AND BUTTONS!!!

Today I spent about two hours in the garden cutting off those things,  I made lots of confetti, wish someone was getting married so we could use it!!! OK, girls, you all know that you have to cut these things off!!! before cutting!!!  after cutting Sewing in the garden, putting a quick row of sewing to stabilize the saw tooth border before quilting.  Tomorrow a little ironing to get those seams ready, and on to the frame for quilting.   I will do an all over feather, she (the owner) would like it simple. She (the quilt, can't call it "it") is almost ready to go home to the Island of the Reunion.

                                                                      HOUSTON!!!!  Yes!!!!, Houston, can you believe it, things are slowly getting together, I have signed up for  classes with Sue Patten, and Dusty Farrell. I will be helping at the APQS booth, and then off to DesMoins, well, more Carroll for class to learn everything about maintenance for our APQS super longarm quilting machines.  After Carroll up to Duluth, yes!! Duluth!!! for a class or two with Karen McTavish!!! Happy, scared, dreaming, and so much more, but wow, Houston, here I come!!!! 

This is my 10 minute block quilt, I used my first ever Moda fabric, so it is quite , well not new, but beautiful, and so soft when you pass your hands over!!!! Going to be nice to cuddle up with on chilly nights!!!!!

Yesterday I finished this for Eleanor, she said it had been around for quite some time!!!

Today was a part quilting day, did a little quilting, then it was a top down, out on the town girls afternoon out day!!!!!  Went and had lunch with Muriel at Mc Do, then we went cruising down to Le Grau de Roi, which is about twenty miles from here to go window shopping and more..... It was a little more because I cracked for a dress, and a top and slacks, then Muriel cracked for a top and slacks, looks very patchworkie!!!!! Plus with a top down you need a hat, a  beautiful purplish hat with a  bow, and it stays on while the top is down!!!  Just a great day!!!
